The Ozone Catalyst V3 has been completely redesigned and looks totally different compared to the previous Catalysts. The changes have made the Ozone Catalyst a lot friendlier. This makes the Ozone Catalyst V3 the ideal kite to master your kitesurfing skills. This is due to the easy depower, large wind range and fast relaunch of the new Ozone Catalyst V3.The first thing that stands out for the new Ozone Catalyst V3 is that it has become a kite with one strut, instead of a three strut kite. This has the advantage that the Catalyst V3 is lighter in weight and has a friendlier character. Another additional advantage is the larger wind range due to the lighter weight. Despite the fact that the Catalyst V3 is a one strut kite, it still has an easy relaunch, which is always useful if you are a novice kite surfer.
The real Ozone fan will see that the design is very similar to the design of the Ozone Alpha. And that"s right. However, the Catalyst V3 is made of stronger materials. The leading edge has been reinforced at several points and the Catalyst is made of triple ripstop canopy instead of double as on the Alpha. This makes the Catalyst much stronger and better to use as a beginner"s kite compared to the Ozone Alpha.
The great thing about the Catalyst V3 is that it can easily ride upwind due to its position in the wind window, which is very nice for a beginner. Even if you improve your kitesurfing level, you will continue to find the Ozone Catalys V3 a great kite. Your first jumps are also no problem for the Catalyst V3 and it remains a super good light weather kite.
